Hanko Inn

4人で宿泊させていただきました(^-^)2人部屋が2部屋あり、ちょうど4人で泊まるのにピッタリな宿です。リビングには、ちゃぶ台と小さな冷蔵庫があります。小さなキッチンもあり、電子レンジもあるので、簡単な調理も可能です。お風呂は、シャワーのみです。松本城に近く、付近には居酒屋などもあり、便利な場所です。とてもリーズナブルな宿泊施設です(^_^)ﾉ

Had the opportunity to stay at Hanko with my partner for a few nights (bottom bedroom) and had a great time It might not be brand new but the futons were comfy, the bathroom/toilet clean, and the kitchen & common room easy to use (bonus of having the opportunity to meet some nice people from other parts of the world traveling through Japan). A good budget friendly inn for travelers. The inn has a great location in Matsumoto, convenience stores close by, 15min on foot from the station and less than 3min walk away from the castle and riverside which make for some great evening strolls. Hopefully will get to come again!

Located 5-10 minutes from Matsumoto castle, same time from the train station. Stylized ryokan homestay with self check in and checkout processes. Note that there are no chairs at all (sitting on the floor with special pillows)

Le monsieur est adorable et tellement serviable. Je ne connaissais pas ses horaires et malgré l'heure imminente de fermeture de sa boutique, il m'a gravé le Hanko que je souhaitais en choisissant de fermer plus tôt, alors que je m'apprêtais à ne pas l'embêter avec une demande. Vraiment tellement gentil.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night due to "Matsumoto Back Packers" being overbooked, who offered us a private room here instead. The place has two floors. Judging the photos, the top floor seems to be more inviting overall. We stayed at the ground floor and slept in a bunk bed in a really small private room. Other guests shared a room next to us. You get a tiny towel and clean sheets, which do not cover the blanket fully so in fact, you’ll sleep with a blanket that has been used before. Our room was dusty and untidy with wrapping paper laying around. The toilet - which is shared as well - was clean. The rest of the place seemed to be not well maintained, untidy, a bit smelly and dark. The location is great, with everything in walking distance. Overall I would only recommend this place for budget travelling due to its really small price. As I said, rooms in the top floor seem to be better, maybe try to rent on of those.

It's a lovely house with all necessary accommodations. Furthermore, the location is really great (next to the Matsumoto Castle and to the center). I recommend without hesitation!
